Let’s dive into four different traffic strategies, starting with my least favorite and working my way up to my most favorite.  I’ll share the pros and cons of each of them.

1: Social Organic Outreach

Social organic outreach is not my favorite lead generation strategy, but it is free. To get started, you need to find where your target audience is hanging out online and connect with them. You can send a friend request or a message and treat them like real people. Offer them your freebie or lead magnet to get them on your email list.

The benefit of this strategy is that it is free, but it takes a lot of time and effort. Many people get stuck in the grind of messaging people all day and make very little money if any.

To help you with this, here's a step-by-step process to book 60-80 sales calls every month organically without paid ads.

2: Instagram Shoutouts

Instagram shoutouts is a paid strategy that involves paying an influencer on Instagram to promote you to their followers. This can be a great way to generate leads at a low cost, and it can be a phenomenal success if you find the right influencer.

However, there are some downsides to this strategy. If your target audience is very specific, it can be hard to find influencers who are the right fit. And when you're starting out, there's a risk involved in working with new influencers. You have to be prepared for the fact that it might not work out, so I wouldn't recommend relying on this strategy exclusively.

To make the most of this strategy, you need to have your systems in place, such as a lead magnet and sales funnel, with great automated follow-up.

Overall, Instagram shoutouts can be a fantastic lead generation strategy, but it requires some time and effort to find the right influencer.

3: Content Marketing

Now, I love content marketing. In fact, it's been a part of our internet marketing strategy since day one. We started with a blog and focused on SEO, and then moved on to YouTube. Currently, we have 26,000 subscribers on YouTube and still generate leads and sales even though we haven't posted any videos recently. This is the magic of content marketing.

Content marketing is all about providing valuable content on a platform, and generating leads from that. My favorite platform for content marketing is YouTube, as it provides amazing leads and a lot of leverage. However, it does take a long time and requires a lot of effort.

To make the most of your content marketing efforts on YouTube, make sure your first video is a banger with a great thumbnail and title, and create your channel on the day you publish your first video. This way, you'll get the most of the "magic newbie juice" that YouTube has to offer.

4: Facebook Ads

My favorite lead generation strategy is Facebook ads! Facebook ads are a leveraged way to get leads and generate sales with minimal effort. We've had clients making sales with as little as $5 a day on Facebook ads.

The posture difference between reaching out to someone and having someone come to you through an ad is huge. People who respond to an ad have already acknowledged their need for your expertise, so your posture with them is already elevated.

However, I would advise against attempting to run Facebook ads yourself unless you're already a master marketer. I've heard too many horror stories of people spending thousands of dollars and not even realizing their ads were turned on because they didn't know what they were doing.

That's why I always recommend working with someone who has mastered Facebook ads, like us, so you can carefully, and safely leverage ads to get a great ROI.

Also, I would be wary of outsourcing Facebook ads to an agency. The internet marketing space has a low barrier of entry, so anyone can claim to be a Facebook ads expert. I've seen too many people waste thousands of dollars on agencies that promise the moon but can't deliver. If you haven't learned the basics first and driven traffic to test your systems and make sure they convert, you have no business working with an agency.

We spend a lot of money on Facebook ads and we're very profitable. We can focus on other areas of our business because we have Facebook ads doing the heavy lifting for us.

We have yet to find a Facebook ad agency that can outperform our own ads. And we've paid top dollar agencies, the best agencies out there. That's also what we've seen with our clients time and time again.
